Is anyone else having trouble posting?

This usually happens when reblogging but it just now happened when writing this post: I write my comments and tags then hit “create post” or “reblog post” but it takes me to a preview and doesn’t actually post, then I have to go back and rewrite everything. Something wrong with my blog, or are other people having this issue?

my reaction to every single update the tumblr staff does

But now tags, which were always a kinda-useful-but-not-really feature of Tumblr are SLIGHTLY MORE KINDA USEFUL (but not really, maybe worse).

Really though, every update the last 6 months has ranged from “useless” to actually making the site worse. Remind you of any other giant social media site?

Introducing: Highlighted Posts

Every now and then, a post comes along that’s meant for big things. It could be pulling the wraps off your new project, promoting your next show, raising awareness for a cause, or just sharing a truly incredible photo.

Today you’ll have a new option to Highlight those extra-important posts. For one dollar, your post will stand out in the Dashboard with a customizable sticker to make sure your followers take notice!

As yes, the day always comes when my favorite free web services start doing what can only be called an obvious money grab. Today is Tumblr’s day.

I’m not saying Tumblr shouldn’t do extra things and feel free to charge for them, they have server fees to deal with and staff to pay. But … really? A dollar to make the post ever so slightly wider? Every time? On a site where 95% of the users are teenagers and poor college students? I feel like you can do better than this, Tumblr.
